“… about 700,000 Ukrainian children are currently in russia” – Maksym Kozytskyi

The Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, attended the premiere of the play “The Bird in the Attic” at the National Maria Zankovetska Theatre (directed by Ihor Bilyts). He commented on the relevance of the play’s theme on his official Facebook page:

“The situation with the abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children remains critical. Unfortunately, a unified mechanism for their search and return has yet to be created. To date, more than 19,000 children are known to be at risk or have already been deported. However, the true scale of the tragedy is far greater: according to Russian sources, approximately 700,000 Ukrainian children are currently in Russia.”

This poignant issue is the focus of the monodrama “The Bird in the Attic,” which premiered in Lviv on the stage of the National Maria Zankovetska Theatre.
